Broken wheelchair

Today was a day and a half. I had a doctor's appt. We get there and get my wheelchair out to wheel me into the hospital clinic and it is broken the plastic supports just broke. So my sister goes in to get a wheelchair there and all they had left was one that me and another person could fit in. We get down to the doctors office and it's to big to fit through the door and I get stuck in the door way. We finally get me pushed back into the hallway and my sister has to go back to the front and get the nurse to run down a smaller wheelchair. By this time it is 5 minutes until my appt. They finally get me another smaller one and then there are several people gathered around watching me transfer from one to the other. How embarrassing. But I was still on time. What a day! At least we could laugh about it. It makes for a good story and now maybe I can get a new wheelchair and the insurance will pay for it. I only need it when I go shopping or go to the doctors office the rest of the time I can use my rollator.

I can't stand those mega wheelchairs! They are awful! The last time they put me in one, I died. The last thing I remember was saying this thing was to f***n big! 😂 Next thing was, ppl yelling at me. 😔 Asking if I knew who my kids were... I say it was the wheel chair! 🤣😂🤗💕🌠

That's terrible. I know they need them but they should have more regular ones.

You have to try to look for the funny side of things or you would stay depressed all the time.

I am happy that you can see the bright side of things, cljones I would have been so frustrated, because everything was out of my control. But looking back, I would have been so thankful that it was behind me. I hope that you can get a replacement for that wheelchair of yours. Keep Smiling

Yes they just called and said it is ready to be picked up.

oh my so sorry about the bs at the dr's office if it isn't one thing it is another ....so sorry ...have the doctor call the insurance office for you or what ever they need to do to get it done right away for you ....love and much more happiness...have you seen any flowers yet ...they are so pretty ...

The dr sent a prescription for a new wheelchair to medical supply place and they have already called me and I can pick it up any time.
