Perhaps it is the smaller dose of steroids that is usually given with the ocreavus infusions they are talking about?

My Ocrevus infusions are given with tylenol, benedryl, and steroids. My first few were with 250ml steroids and now with 100ml of steroids.

Steroid treatment to deal with a relapse is done differently to steroids used to minimise infusion reactions. If you are having an Ocvrevus infusion then any steroids they give you will probably not be a huge dose and they are necessary to reduce the risks of a severe reaction - because no one has a crystal ball which can accurately predict how any single individual will react to the infusion.

Apparently the risk of infusion reactions goes down after your first infusion.

Thanks hun here in hospital, did the antihistamine then the steroids now on the ocrevus. 2 and a half hours to go , they have a Starbucks and I’m wrapped up snug in a blanket in an amazing massage chair. Thank you for reassuring me and informing me 😽
