Good Sunday morning, to "YOU" my beloved ms Sisters and Brothers. Nearly finished my room redesign, I need to get some shelves then I can clean my desk of all the piles of knick-nacks and papers. I tell you this, being an ms writer leads to lots of papers and open books around the place. I like being neat and organized, I must put things away.

LIVE with your disability. Do NOT surrender your entire existence to the illness. Find another path for yourself. As my good ms Sister says, ADAPT ADAPT and keep on ADAPTING. Do not let yourself stagnate. Accept your circumstances. Neither “YOU” or I can change them BUT wee can adapt to our life, to the circumstances of this disease. It will change “YOU” again and again. This is normal, it is nothing to be scared about. No reason to cry, no reason to quiver in a corner and give up on yourself. Find a new direction for yourself, travel a new path, explore different aspects of yourself. “YOU” may learn and find things that “YOU” never imagined. Live your best ms life. if it changes direction, change yourself. Do not try to fight ms. “YOU” will LOSE. It hurts to say it, but my sibling, find a way to adapt. To overcome the obstacles that “YOU” may face.

Your heart still beats within your chest, “YOU” still have a future, in-spite of our chronic progressive condition. “YOU” still have a life despite ms. Live it, and live it well, Show yourself that there is so much more to “YOU” than an annoying, pesky mystery disease with no cure. So very much more.

NOW, take your Disease-Modifying Therapy, (DMT) . wipe away your tears, for now, they will be back, and forge forward. Onto your very own ms path. Let it lead “YOU” where it will try to make its path a little easier, a little flatter. Follow the rules, eat well, exercise, SMILE, take your DMT and try not to cry very much.

There will be mistakes, there will be tears, BUT never forget this is a path that “YOU” can travel. Travel it for years and years. Slow down and rest when “YOU” need to BUT never forget “YOU can do this. Relapsing-Remitting (RRms) need never beat “YOU”. “YOU”my ms sibling are so much better than that. “YOU” CAN do this ms life. Come take my hand and let’s travel a little way together and when “YOU” are ready, leave me and travel your path without me. “YOU” can do this, believe in yourself, as I believe in “YOU”. The light is within “YOU”, look for it and find it. Let it light your way, and travel the RRms path that is yours.

Royce (your RRms writer and brother)

I believe that YOU can, how about you believe as well.
