Off this morning for another attempt to see the neutritionist my primary care doctor wanted me to see. This time, I'm ordering my own Lyft ride so if they take me to the wrong address, we can keep driving until I get to the proper location! No just dumping me off somewhere with me trying to hobble my way to the medical facility.

Gonna Try Again
Good luck this time!
You are lucky. The town i live in doesnt have Lyft Uber or taxis. Found out the hard way!
I wish you good luck!
Good luck and I hope they take you right to the door. 😀
GL!
Let us know how it went
Good luck! Linda
Please let us know what the nutritionist says.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She didn't think the No Food diet would be good for me. She gave me several print out, explaining how I really needed to start measuring everything I ate, and realizing I needed to count carbs, not calories, and if I followe her counts, I won't be deprived of anything I like. She is, however in cahoots with my primary care Dr., wants to ween me off of my addiction . . . COFFEE!!!
Now, Sunday night, I get to fall asleep in an MRI tube again, all for my anual brain MRI
I posted about organic coffee a couple of weeks ago. Have you seen that post?
No, I didn't see it.
Here is the site -healthunlocked.com/mymsaa/p...
I think the main idea is coffee is actually good for you as long as it is organic. Plus it's a diuretic. Why do your doctor and the nutritionist want you to stop?
And what is the purpose of that diet? It sounds really odd to me. One would think since you have MS, they would be recommending the anti-inflammatory diet or at least the Mediterranean diet.
Thank you/! Interesting article! I thought I was drinking organic because my favorite coffee is from a local company, New Mexico Pinion Coffee, but I looked over the package and nowhere does it say it is organic, drat!! However, the reason why the nutritionist wants to ween me off of coffee is because she said my primary care dr. will be putting me on a diet medication when I see him next month. And that will be too much caffiene unless I switch over to decaff. Oh, great.
What is this diet medication for? I thought you were getting on a diet?
I;ve been on diets since the end of 2018, and I just keep gaining (and I'm NOT cheating!) I really wish some of these drs would take a look at the 15 meds I'm on and notice if any's side effects are "weight gain"?!?!? I'm tired of gaining and I'm really tired of more and more drugs!
What DMT are you on for MS? I am on Ocrevus and cannot handle other drugs at all, even the basic ones. Have you tried an Integrative Medicine doctor? I am not a doctor, but 15 drugs does sound excessive.
I'm on Aubagio.
Do you have any Integrative Medicine doctors in your area?
I'm going to do some research on this. I've not heard of integrative medicine, but I will definately check it out!
Integrative Medicine MDs go a different route. They treat the whole person, and not just individual symptoms. They believe in a natural approach - diet (what you eat, and not counting calories), exercise and supplements. If I hadn't left the regular PCP, I'd be on a dozen pharmaceutical drugs and probably bed-ridden today. Insurance pays for Integrative Medicine MDs like for regular doctors.
Check out this doctor. I did a first consultation for free, and you can register for a Monday free remote webinar (if you can't attend but register, she will send you a recording):mailchi.mp/3cabd043502d/tha...
sure hope you get someone that actually knows how to get you to the right location...wow can't believe they just left you at the wrong address...wow ...prayers for the safe ride to the doctor ...love and safety ...
I actually understand why they have the policy of a "locked ride". Transportation to healthcare facilities is a benefit some Medicare Advatange Plans include. When the insurance company is paying for the ride, they want to be sure the client goes to a doctor's appointment or test, not also catching a ride to Red Lobster for lunch before an appointment because they don't cover that (though Humana's transport would take clients to Planet Fitness gym). But what happened that last time, the dispatcher typed in the wrong adestination ddress. It wouldn't have been all that bad had the appiontment been in my home town. And while I've personally driven many times in Rio Rancho, I don't live there so I'm not familiar enough to know how to get places on foot. I;ve only walked in that city when my truck would break down near Intel. A Napa Autoparts is across the street from where I always b roke down.
i can't believe they don't wait to see if you get into the building you are going to wow ...i think they still should be making sure that they have taken you to the right place and to watch that you get into....sorry i don't understand how they can do this bad bs...take care and make sure you have the address with you and that they also have the correct address...so sorry about that ...did you have to go a long ways to find it ...i would of just been so stressed out and not be able to find it ..be very careful...
so glad you made it okay ...let us know how this diet goes for ya ...i don't agree with the ween off of coffee...no way ...love and happiness ..good luck ...take care and let us know how it is going for you ...
