I never got to the nutritionist's appointment.
End of the month, I'm out of money. So I'm dependent on my insurance company's transport to medicql facilities. United Healthcare Advantage uses Lyft for an option for transport--something I've really liked. I can track where the driver is. The first driver who was supposed to pick me up at my house, canceled. but dispatch tracked down another driver.
Now, mind you, this nutritionist is in the same clinic my primary care' is--another sity other than the one I live. Okay, we get to the city, but somehow, the address of the clinic was either written down incorrectly when I scheduled the ride, or was changed. Either way, it wasn't where I needed to go!
It wasn't the Lyft driver's fault. It was a "locked" ride, meaning the driver cannot change the drop off location, because the rider isn't the one paying for the ride.
Okay, so I thought I would give it a shot to hobble to the clinic. But again, it is not a city I live in, so I don't know if the numbers increase heading North or heading South. I try to call the clinic to tell them what is going on, but I get locked into the world's longest phone menu!
By the time I got ahold of a human, I just canceled the appointment and focused on the challenge to get back home.
Now it will maybe be a New Year's appointment with a cardiologist--may be because I'm not sure I trust the transport to not dump me off at the Airport rather than the cardiologist's clinic.
