Hello I’m B3tinha. Nice to meet you guys! I know we are more than our condition but I guess this is where we can talk safely. I was diagnosed in Miami in 2010 the city I grew up in after 9 years old. I’m from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. My diagnosis was very late since I can remember ms symptoms since elementary school. I lived in Miami for 22 years, Bronx, Ny for 6 and Raleigh, Nc going on 3 years. Most days are pretty bad lately but I know that God gives me strength to keep going but it’s still hard and no one really understands. I also was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2013. My MRI from last week has many new lesions and some more issues on the spine. I’m supposed to be a massage therapist but I been home since February with new relapse and a career change is what’s on my table right now.

Welcome, B3tinha to this forum!
Hi B3tinha welcome! And we all like to think of this as a safe place! And a place where we understand what it's like!
Sorry your having such a hard time right now! Are you seeing an MS specialist? And on a DMT? 🤗💕👻
I have a neurologist but she isn’t a specialist of much
Welcome!
Welcome to the group. I hope you have a good neurologist you like to help you navigate your relapses. I’m glad you have decided to join our little group and look forward to getting to know you. I’m sorry things feel so difficult right now but I knowing God gives you strength is a wonderful comfort. I agree. And, yes, it is hard when nobody seems to understand. Hopefully this group will offer some new friends who may not all be able to relate to everything but most who can relate to something.
Welcome B3tinha . You came to the right place. You will never find a more welcoming group.
I sure don’t pretend to be a dr but are you on any kind of DMT. Just about everybody here is on something to help prevent those lesions. I’m with Jes sound like you might want to find a new dr. Believe me we understand because all of us live this journey day after day.
Welcome again.
Donnie
I’m very sorry to hear of your relapse and MRI results. It must be very disappointing for you. This disease is very unfair. You do everything right and no matter, your MS shows who’s in charge. Chin up and keep plugging away.
I was on copaxone since 2010 now I’m on ocrevus
Welcome to the group. Ita great place to be....yourself.

I’m glad God keeps you going!
Come here to vent any time. Join in on some laughter, too.
Welcome! Sorry you are having to make a career change. I was lucky to stay in the same career for many years untilmI just couldn’t keep up any more. I hope you find something new that suits you.
Hi, B3tinha, you seem to have had an interesting life so far. So sorry you have had to join this club that none of us really want to be in, but there IS life out there for you, I am sure. It is a question of adapting to a new situation. Do you have any other passions and interests in life aside from massage? Do you like to see nature and the natural world out there if you have some where you live? 🥰
