I’ve been complaining about it for at least a decade. Disney is decorating for Xmas on Nov 6th. It’s insane.

I've been complaining about the Christmas stuff going up on TV and the stores before Halloween. This year I think it's just a sign that most people just want this year done.

It's not you, but with increased on line shopping, product delays/shortages/discontinuations, warehouse staffing difficulties, AND the postal service imbroglio PLUS the effect of the pandemic on in person gatherings/gift giving...if we don't get ready now, we'll have to wait for the summer solstice.

Oh, yes, I agree. And I'm ready to share: apple butter, peach butter, peach jam with lemon verbena, peach jam with ginger, bread and butter pickles...and all year long, depending on the hens and my milk supply, yogurt, fromage blanc, eggs, and sourdough. When I can't be outside, I stay busy inside. It keeps me out of trouble and repays the neighbors for their kindnesses.

I always shopped year round. With 8 kids I shopped ALL the sales on practical, educational stuff, with of course bikes and those things thrown in!

I guess I’m an oddball because I LOVE all the Christmas going up in stores and the movies on tv. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year so I’ve been counting down the “days til Christmas” on my chalk board since last year. October 23rd couldn’t get here soon enough for me for the 24/7 Christmas movies. And I always look forward to the Christmas in July movies. It all just makes my heart so happy!
