Terrific post! I like the comparison with trying to keep up with healthy people. On good days, I probably have about 6, but with lots of breaks. I can't go for 16 hours straight full speed as I once did, but I also don't have to any more.

Great post Jes, mine alternates. On good days about 5/6 and not so good days 3/4.

Good question, Jesmcd2 I always section my days in 8 hour chunks ~ 8 hours for sleep, 8 hours for ‘work’, and 8 hours for hygiene, eat, etc. My days seem to fly by, and I hardly get anything done these days... :-D

Not enough!!

I get up around 5:30 or 6 o’clock. Time I feed my furbabies and myself and then have my 2-3 cups coffee ☕️ then shit, shave 🪒, and shower 🚿 it’s 9 o’clock. Then I start doing daily chores till about 2 pm. Then lunch snack for me and furbabies. Then I can go till 3or4. Then nap 💤 time. Up at 5:30 🕠, feed furbabies and me , then read or do little things till 9 o’clock. Turn tv 📺 on and generally go to sleep around 11-12. Up at 3am potty 🚽 and back to sleep 😴 5:30 or 6. Same routine for long time. Some days I get burnout and take most of the day resting and sleeping 💤 probably every other week depending on temperature 🥵. Well there you go that’s it👍🙏😉 Ken 🐾🐾🇺🇸

I have about 8 to 10 hours. I do have to pace myself and stop to rest from time to time, if I don't then I will crash. I only need short breaks, 5 to 10 minutes but it makes all the difference in the world for me. I am so much more productive.

Of course, it’s quality of time not quantity 🤗

What a great question! I feel so much better reading all these responses because I tend to judge myself for not accomplishing all that I set out to do. I'm good for one major task each day and multiple small ones. For instance, yesterday I had a car service appointment 30 miles away. So on the way I made a short dump run with recycling, stopped at the bank drive thru. I sat in the service area for 3 hours, drove home on in interstate (part of the time through a cloudburst making it almost impossible to see the road), came home, fed the chickens...and that was all I did. It was necessary but I felt as if the day was wasted because with the rain, I didn't stop at a good, well stocked market as I had planned.

My usable hours change from day to day, but I don’t have enough gas to make it from 6am to 8pm for the girls without breaks, and I’m a zombie usually after they are tucked in.

If I do have extra, it goes for something normal, like making a family meal or playing outside. I’m hoping to be some better after the next infusion and once Val sleeps though the night. The full moon was also not fun for my kids and their sleep 😖 so that’s good to know for next time!
