More blood work

Okay, so apparently when I had bloodwork done a couple of weeks ago, someone didn't enter something correctly so I had to go back again. Finally went yesterday (lots of other things going on this past week I couldn't get it done any sooner). I received the results this morning on MyChart and they look better than they did last time I had bloodwork done. The first test I had done was the Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (Glucose, Sodium, Potassium, etc). The test I had done yesterday was CBD and Differential (WBC, RBC, Hemoglobin, etc) and the results look good to me. I am sure my neuro's nurse will call Monday to let me know for sure.

No, I'm on Tecfidera and my white blood cells were heading to the low level that if they kept going any lower, I was going to have to change meds.

Yes, this did make me mad because SOMEONE screwed up AGAIN! Not sure if it was the Neuro or the person entering the info in the computer at the registration desk.

I love Mychart for that reason. I won't go to a doctor that isn't in Mychart.

It gives you the ability to keep control of your own health care.

It sounds good that you mostly within proper ranges.

I was so afraid my numbers were going to drop again but they look like they either stayed the same or went up a little bit I expect the nurse will be calling tomorrow to let me know the 'official' results

That's, so re-assuring to know that you can see your results, bxrmom I have had access to my results for many years so it is nice to see the history and to do the research so that you know what your doctor is speaking about. Keep Smiling

The last couple of years is when our hospital finally went to the online medical records and I love it! My family doc does not have them yet, but the lab that is part of the office does so I get those results usually within a day. I will be very happy when their office is completely online. Not sure why they are not yet.

It's a lot of work? Or maybe an inept staff? Hope that it's the former and not the latter...

It is a lot of work to get all the old records scanned for patients into the new system. I remember when I was working at a hospital before I had to file for disability and we were in the process of switching over to digital medical records and it was a REAL pia! But when it was done, I think it was worth it. I wasn't there when it was finished but I see the results here now that they have switched over and I love it!

Hate that! One time my results were lost completely last two times they were missing some of it. So inconvenient. Glad to hear your bloodwork results were good! Thats always exciting news, blessings
