G’day family. I hope you are all well and coping with your situation. This has been bouncing around my head a few days and honestly, I have been trying to avoid it. That being the case if I am too harsh or do not say what “YOU” would like to hear in the way “YOU” want to hear it then just delete it. “YOU” will not cause me any offence, merely be polite in any comment “YOU” might make.

“YOU” have ms as do I. It can not be cured, it will stay with “YOU” the rest of your life. Mine as well and I am planning on another twenty or thirty years. That would be about fifty years with ms, give or take. That is a long time, but as the Great Prince would say I am here to tell “YOU” there is something else. These years do not have to hard. impossible or unbearable. Full of continuous pain. Loss most certainly but not pain and torment. I miss partying until dawn, working and wasting money. Being able to touch h my finger to my nose. drive a car. BUT, that is gone. I look at life differently. My expectations are new. To get up now and stand up and put on my underwear is a success story, to brush my face with outputting toothpaste from ear to ear is a very good thing. To push myself to beyond my limits is now my goal. If ten is the standard for something I want to do eleven

I never want to stop at nine or admit my failure and neither should “YOU”. Aim to push yourself until “YOU” fail and can do no more. This is not a two aspirin and a lie-down illness. It is challenging and it demands that ‘YOU” accept that challenge every moment of every day. Standing at your desk writing, carrying a cup of water without spilling half of it can be your challenge, climbing Mt Everest, dancing a beautiful dance does not have to be your goal. Living A good life day to day can be your goal. Make your goals and expectations yours, not somebody else’s .

We will all pass from this plain of existence one day. To where I do not know, but on that day. Would it not be nice to look back and say I did it my way and I did it well. I am happy, I could not have done it better. I made mistakes, not so good things happened but I persevered and I learned. In my opinion, it is all a big game. I do not remember the rules or the purpose but I do feel that I and “YOU” should do the best that we can. We should never give up on ourselves. We are capable of so much more if we try. Never stop trying, push yourself just a little more. ms is not fatal it will not kill you, do not give up upon yourself. “YOU” are capable, “YOU” CAN do this, do not believe me, believe in yourself.

Believe in yourself, take action to make your dreams come true
