It is okay, “YOU” will be okay. There are lot of changes ahead of “YOU, but absolutely nothing that with some effort that “YOU” can not handle. There are going to be things that “YOU” would have thought that in a billion years |YOU could not face, let alone do. But, YOU will face them grit your teeth, straighten your shoulders and do it.
ms is a big game, for a lot of it there is no rhyme or reason. Some things happen, just because. Learn to accept that. Minimize your disappointment. This is happening to you because. No other reason, merely because. Sometimes “YOU” get bitten hard by ms, because “YOU” forgot that “YOU” are disabled and tried to act normal, whatever that is. I got bitten yesterday, the half mile walk home after the gym was really a daft thing to do. I know better, my neighbor asked me twice if I was sure I wanted to do take that walk. I know better, but guess what I did. That was one challenging walk. I made it though. I pushed myself and I suffered the consequences all afternoon.
Sometimes, “YOU” have to push your limits. Life is boring without the occasional challenge. Life is not worth living with some adversity and goals to meet and exceed. “YOU” are new to this, your limits have been reduced from what they once were “YOU” have to explore, find your way. Learn what “YOU” can and cannot do with your new ms body.
There is so much that “YOU” can do, sadly yes, there are things that “YOU” can no longer do, and this is a progressive condition, so as your many years go by, this may increase. With your taking the Disease-Modifying Therap(y (DMT) this may be further into your ms future than “YOU” or anybody else thought.
A life with ms is not simple. “YOU” are a little lost right now, and will be again. Know this and accept it. Take your time and move forward methodically and with a purpose. Do not allow yourself to be blown from one goal, one dream to an other. Give things time to work. Find your path, it may take time. It took me 15 years before I started writing and that was never something I thought I could do.
Be calm, cry when “YOU” need too. Be true to yourself. Do everything that “YOU” possibly can to be content and live a great life.
