Quilting

I am a home body anyway, but this is what I'm working on while staying home even more. These are the two blocks that will be repeated for a quilt I'm making for a lady in our church who does so much for others, but who doesn't seem to feel like she has value. Purple is her favorite color.

It may be a while! I got really burned out after changing a couple of the fabrics and starting all over.

How beautiful! What a wonderful idea to do something for someone like that! Way to go! (Now, how did you download that picture?)

If I write a post from my phone, I can find the picture on my phone. If I post from my desktop, and if I have already loaded pictures from my phone there, I email it to myself, save it on my desktop, and then find it.

How pretty! I love the colors. I am one of the most undomesticated women you have ever met! I appreciate the beautiful work that others create (Be it knitting, cross-stitch, quilting, etc.); I just don’t have the patience nor am I interested. My “thing” is

reading. I’ll read anything!

greaterexp profile image

Reading is wonderful! We find whole new worlds and experiences when we read! I love the classics, myself. I love those glimpses into other times and cultures.

I didn’t learn any domestic skills until I married at the age of 19. I sure didn’t learn it all overnight!

Hey, fellow non-domestic reader! I have a t-shirt that says Bibliophile. I am there with you!

Too funny! At one time I was like “Susie homemaker”. Worked, came home, made dinner, even cleaned the floor on my knees! That lasted as long as the marriage did! Lol Never again! And, now with all my health problems AND MS I don’t even think about cooking much less eating. But, books! Their my escape; always have been.

mrsmike, I am listening to Lilac Girls from a recommendation you made! Great book. unfortunately, I'm not going anywhere much now, and limited listening in my car, haha!

I'm glad you are enjoying it! There's another one by her that has the word "rose" or "roses" in it that I must look up. Have you read "The Alice Network"? Another one I loved!

My wife has been quilting a lot these days too. The busy "background" pieces give the squares a 3D feel, as though you are looking through the pieces. Nice. Purple is a her favorite color too.

Purple and green go together like peas and carrots. I made a modern purple and green quilt a few years ago for my brother-in-law. I may have posted it here.

Keep quilting! And post your when you make progress or get it done!
