Ok, I Soooo lied when I said that it would only take me a couple days to pack stuff.
Oh wait let me start at the beginning π. π Cause I didn't even KNOW I was moving. Till some guy showed up, taking measurements of the yard. Wai, what??? No! Yup!
So I'm informed, that I'm being kicked out of my home of 6? Yrs and I gotta find a place for me and my puppers and kitten! And pack.
Lucky for me, my dad thinks he found a place! Yes! But after 6 yrs omg I have so. Much. That has to be better organized and packed! And my stress level is a high Xanax level!π OMG there is outside stuff, and the porch and inside! I'm going to lose my mind! Or what's left of it!π
Help me!π€ππ

Oh Jes, I wish I could help. My hubby would be over in no time to move you and your fur babies with his truck and trailer you could even have come and lived with us until you found somewhere. Surely itβs in your rent agreement that the landlord has to give you at least 30 days notice? Prayers are going up for you, big hug π€ Blessings Jimeka π«
I have to be out at the end of the month, and the other place will be vacated sometime this month. I so hate limbo land.π I like my ducks in a row!π€£π€ππ
Jesmcd2 . I totally understand. When we moved from our house I threw away dumpsters full of junk from 23 years of collecting. We had 30 days from contract to closing. Then i could have thrown away almost that much again again when we moved in our New place in April of last year if Iβd been allowed. That was after only 2 years.π ππ€£.
You can do this, yes you can! Unexpected surprises (well, surprises are always unexpected otherwise it wouldn't be a surprise( are difficult when it's not a happy one. Please pace yourself everyday so you don't exhaust your self and up in bed or worse. I will add you to my prayer list. ((Hugs))
Sorry to hear that you were given such short notice. I know the feeling of moving. It is surely stressful. Hope you have a smooth transition. Blessings
What chapter did I miss? I thought your dad was your landlord? And whether he is or isn't, how is it possible to fail notifying tenants that they have to move? And why do you have to move? Of course you are upset and frantic. Anyone would be! You could just become an inert object (think boulder), smile sweetly when you tell them that whoever decided this will have to accomplish the transfer of you, pups, and all your worldly goods. Very very carefully or there will be a classic Jes repercussion!
Shhh, it's been done. And with the crap they are going to have to get rid of? Like broken tv. Treadmill. Yes I killed it!π€£ππ€£ And other trash, they can have it goatgal π and the owner never told my dad!! He was as shocked as I was! π€ππ
sorry to hear that. I'm in almost the same boat only I've been living in my house for 17 years. My landlord said he is tired of being here in NJ and want to move down south. Imagine 17 years of stuff. 3 children now grown and two of them live on the west coast now. I'm on the east coast. You can only put one large item out for trash a week and all bags must go into a large trash can that the city provided. they won't take bags on the ground. Its a long process and a lot of stuff. Man, I'm tired and want to take a nap just thinking about it and typing this response. Good luck too you.
QUICK Jes! Here are some marbles I found while still unpacking here!! You need them now. Keeping you in my prayers, try to stay calm and focused. Love you dearly, Kelly xx
that is one of my fears,i never want to have to move.that is why I started throwing things out now who wants to do that after i am gone.wish I could help you, good luck
I moved almost 3 years ago. So exhausting!! Got rid of a massive amount of stuff. Moved and bought a bunch of stuffππ€£. Oh well. Good luck!!! Try to chunk things. That worked best for me. Rest and eat nutritionally!
Take it one box at a time, and one area at a time. You certainly can't do it all in one or two days. Plus, this gives you an opportunity to de-clutter! I know that 6 years is a long time to accumulate stuff, but you can do it! So, please let us know how you did it... Keep Smiling, Jesmcd2
I have moving down to a science. My husband and I have moved across the country several times over the past 28 years. You start in one room and pack what you only need. If you haven't used it in over a year then it gets donated or thrown out, excluding family heirlooms, etc.. When you are done with one room then close the door and move on to the next. Do the kitchen last. Treat the outside porches & yards as a room. It makes it so much easier. You will be surprised how much you don't need to pack & move with you. The last time I moved was 4 years ago and we moved the whole house, it was a mobile home. I didn't have to pack anything except dishes & nicknacks & tie everything else down. It was so much easier!
I totally agree with this method of packing! This is how I packed the last time I moved and it was so much easier this way. Room by room. Take it slow and don't overdue it.
I don't think I have enough for them to be bothered to make a trip.π No lie. They don't pick up anything. It's unreal. I send them with a friend who sends them to a friend.ππ€ππ
