Blue Names (and it's not because they are sad!)

Why do some names appear in blue? I thought maybe it meant you were following someone (and I don't mean tailgating! 🚗🚕🚘😋) but when I use the name of those of you I'm following it doesn't turn blue. What's up with that? Pam

When you put the @ symbol before a user name to refer to them it's supposed to turn blue to make the name stand out. But it doesn't always work. I don't know why.

In your reply, when you want a notice to go directly to someone in the forum, you mention their forum name in the reply. That way, you can reply to the poster, and address some else instead. Why does it not work sometimes? The forum cannot find that user name, and the name will not turn blue. I hope that this makes sense.

You must make the "@" sign and then, without a space after it, begin to type the person's forum name. A drop down menu with similar names should appear from which you may choose the one you want. Click on the correct name, and that name should appear in your response and notify that person that they were mentioned in a post. Pretty cool.

I was hoping this post was about other names for blue besides "navy," "azure," "cornflower," etc. I am a little disappointed, for I am running out of synonyms.

I think it has more to do with my phone. The popup list only rarely shows up. After the last phone update the popup won't show up at all.
