Move slower and learn to fall. Ask a physiotherapist about this. If you are aware of fall techniques perhaps you can hurt yourself less and even pick yourself up from when you do fall. I know of several overweight much older men that practice these techniques regularly. I mean daily. If it works for older people why not us?

little bit of advice
When I fall, I never have time to think how to fall, it’s over and done with before I know it. 😊
I wish I would have known how to fall correctly before I fell & broke my arm! I have had a lot of practice falling, just not the right way.
When I fall I seem to always break something. Of course I'm 6 feet tall so I have further to fall!
If I know it's coming, I crumple to the ground.I just did that last week and lived to tell the tale with no injuries.
Then there are the surprise falls where one is airborne for a second before face planting.
Those are almost worth feeling like Superman-for that split second.
I try to always look at the bright side of life 🤣
Falling on an even surface is not as scary as say, falling down the stairs, and that frightens me as there is no good way to fall down those. Sorry Royce, but I disagree with you on this post.
I do not have stairs so sorry no experience
I couldn’t agree with you more carolek572 . I fell 3 times this week and didn’t have time to plan my landing only patch my wounds and thank God I didn’t break anything. Fell twice in 20 mins.
Stairs are why we moved to this house. It has no stairs for me to fall down and I love it. Now if I could only walk on flat ground.😂😂😅🤣
