If “YOU” do not stand up for yourself state your wishes. Demand what needs to be demanded for your own wellbeing, who will? Do not put your entire future in somebody else hands. No matter how cute or intelligent they may be. Have some control over your own illness. Perhaps not easy at first or even later in your journey, but when it comes down to it, this is our disease we who suffer and we who spend cold lonely nights in beds in our own heads. It is always us so do what needs to be dome to protect and strengthen “YOU”
Be polite, there is no reason to be rude, but take care of yourself. It breaks down to “YOU” taking care of “YOU” it always does.
