Hi Peeps,I have missed you all dearly. To pic up social media was even too much.Recently had a neuro visit after 2 years(other issues) and after 20 minutes and $ later I was told she would not run any testing to see where I stood...because quote I probably would chose not to do any DMT ...Not knowing where my lesions have progressed, pain I am in etc I left deflated and alone.Using all the energy I had to get there in the first place.Am I depressed, heck yes, and all of the above.Find a new neuorologist sounds easier than it is let alone physically able to accomplish. That is why I haven't been apart of the group...not wanting to add a burden. Now I do ask for prayers...I am trying to get thru each day, moment.Looking for over the counter pain help, with heart in mind.Ibuprofen was helpful but cant take it with heart issue.New pain management is taking time again to be reestablished.Any suggestions in chat helpful and appreciated.ty all...usually happy Jackie, helpful Jackie..hate myself squawking

Sorry you are going through all of that. I have to say I’m thankful to not have to deal with pain, but I just had that emotional roller coaster of a sucky doctor. When I first had him I didn’t like him, but his NP was awesome and I ended up rarely seeing him. I thrived. But then the NP left leaving just HIM. But I rarely went to see him. Unfortunately I started working a lot & the stress started to build up in me. I was let go from my job as admin assistant because I got hurt. Eventually, a got a cleaning job to make up the difference but the MS sensed the stress on my body (2 flights of stairs)

As for that nasty Md., I received a letter stating that he was retiring by the end of the next month and I had the choice of either choosing a Dr from the practice (none specialize in MS) or sign a release form for a Dr of my choice. Thankfully I had a chance to speak to a friend who had a good experience with a good Dr who actually cares and listens.

There is always hope, especially when you can connect with people who live near you.

Now I live in a capital city, but I grew up in a VERY rural area & had to depend on others for rides, but people who love you will help get you where you need to go.

I went an Aubagio informational dinner at a hotel & that was very helpful!

One thing that helps me is smiling at people (even when I’m having a tough day) When they smile back, it actually pays off!

Jackie,

You have been missed, and I'm sorry for all the stress you've been under and for the pain you suffer.

Some folks mentions that arnica gel has helped them with pain, as has CBD oil. I can't speak from experience, but they may be at least worth looking at.

You aren't "squawking," but merely venting, which is a very good things to do, and this the place to do that. You're so sweet and thoughtful, and I pray that your road smooths out.

Sorry you're going through that. Hopefully you can find a doctor who actually gives a damn about his/her patients. Prayers are coming your way.

So happy to hear from you, jackiesj but not of your issues. However, please continue to post as to how you are managing, and please ask others in this forum on how to deal with such things because together we are all stronger! I will keep you in my prayers.

Keep Smiling, my friend,

Carole :-D
