Update on "house arrest"

Saw my neurologist today good news I don't have any active lesions in my spine or my head sad news I have a cyst in my cervical spine that's pressing on my central nervous system and she thinks that's why I have left sided weakness because the cyst is on the left side of my cervical spine. Synonym for follow up with a neurosurgeon to see what can be done. This is a definite change from my last cervical spine MRI in 2014. she doesn't feel it safe for me to be driving until after I have the appointment with the neurosurgeon. And with this development I'm okay with that.

I’m sorry that this cyst has been found, but so glad for there being no new lesions. I hope that if surgery is required, it is uncomplicated with a quick recovery. Keep us updated.

From a ms point of view it’s good news for you. I am sorry about the cyst, do you have to wait long before you see the neurosurgeon? Keep us updated, blessings Jimeka 🤗

The no new lesions is very good news. As for the cyst, how great that it was discovered and that you will get it taken care of. I hope that when it is removed, you bounce back unplagued by the weakness it apparently is causing. Keep us posted!

I will be thinking about you. Thank you for informing us. If it takes a while to recover, don't despair. It may take awhile to get back into form. All of us will be thinking of you.

I am thinking it probably doesn't matter much what the ultimate cause of spinal cord dysfunction is, it is the anticipated future we need to address. I am having a tough time with that. I actually thought my RRMS would go on like it had forever.

Every so often I am caught up in my fantasies. Sigh.

Great news on no new lesions. Hopefully the cyst was caught early and it can be easily removed and not much done time after removal. Sending virtual hugs your way. Keep us updated.
