I'm April. I was turning my neck one day and said ouch. I felt under my right jawline and felt swollen lymph nodes. I told my neurologist, he referred me to my primary doctor, he referred me to an EENT doctor. I went for an ultrasound which found 3-4 swollen lymph nodes. I then had a Fine Needle Aspiration. In other words a biopsy of the tissue of one of the lymph nodes. Results came back as inflammation. Having MS I am inflamed all over! This is crazy. I have already been through so much over the past 10 years this didn't phase me. There is nothing I can do about it anyway. Now I just have to live with a sore and 'inflamed' neck. I have to chuckle at things now because I have been through worse.
Has anyone else developed 'inflammation' in lymp nodes or tissue or glands?

The lymph nodes in my neck (especially those at the base of my skull in the back) become swollen and a bit tender before subsiding. With all my weird symptoms, I have always assumed this is just my body reacting to some perceived threat. My cervical vertebrae are impaired by arthritis, and MS lesions are on the spinal cord in that area, so it isn't surprising. But when the nodes are swollen, it does hurt a little to move my neck side to side, up and down.
I wonder if a massage would help your neck? I see a chiropractor for my back and neck pain and when I have the funds I see the massage therapist who is in the same office. Some insurance companies pay for a massage but medicare (which I have does not). Hope you get some relief soon.
