I just received my head and cervical spine mri results. Good news is there are no new or enhanced lesions. There is however mild global volume loss but pml not indicated or seen. I will wait to see what my Neurologist says because I’ve looked it up and not great news Not horrible news but I guess it can be expected on ms patients

I’m running with the good news. I’ll see what neurologist says in two weeks. But I’m happy for no new lesions or larger lesions.

Good news, for no new lesions! I also came up w/ positive for PML ," exposure." Mine was d/t PML antibodies from tysabri IV.

Now, I'm on tecfidera per mouth 2x/ day. Working great for me.

Sorry I didn’t type part right. There was no pml Indicated or seen. I was tested for the jvc virus or what not awhile ago. It was negative so I guess I just Wait and see what neuro wants to do.

Thank you. I am very happy with the no new lesions. The reading just says mild. I don’t see much of a different in memory or anything so I’m trying not to dwell on it till I see neuro. I’m going to get better at taking my vitamins and I’m going to start an exercise routine. Look into more vitamins too.

Exercise is very important. As MS progresses, for a lot of us, our muscles start to deteriorate and keeping them toned helps keep us "on our feet", so to speak.

I know I have to get better at it. It gets so hard since I work on my feet all day and am tired by end of the day. Or really fatigued at times.

Hmmm. You have left me wondering. My annual MRI is next Wednesday. Haven't really thought about it until you said this!

Glad there are no new lesions!

I thought it was weird to see. I went back and looked at old mri but not listed in them. So it’s new. I’m hoping it’s nothing or we caught it fast enough to stop more from happening. It’s a rare thing I read with ms but the no new lesions is good. Hoping it’s not the ocrevus that’s causing the other problem

Yay for the good news!! Weight training could help prevent more volume loss.

I’m going to look into that soon. Start with the exercise bike I have at home and the strength bands. Talked to neuro and see if I should add b vitamins. Need to here what the neuro has to say trying not to get to worried yet but I’ve am cut out certain food in the last few months because of allergies.

Resistance bands are awesome! There are some studies on brains and exercise if you want to fall into a rabbit hole. I found the books Brain Food by Lisa Mosconi, Spark: The Revolutionary New Science between Brain and Exercise by John Ratey, and Younger Next Year by Crowley and Lodge to be very informative and enjoyable.

Thank you. I’ll look into those. It’s going to be a struggle but I know I need to do this.
