It is your ms, it is up to "YOU" to manage it.

"YOU" not me “YOU”, not your doctors, YOU, YOU, YOU. Yes I am quite aware that I yelled at “YOU" Maybe what "YOU" need is a bigger shock than the one "YOU" got when they said, sorry but "YOU" have multiple sclerosis (ms). During the many years of your ms life “YOU” my friend, are going to have to find the ultimate person to help “YOU manage all that will be thrown your way. Be it medicines, exercise, diet, mental strength or any of the many things that are encountered.

It is “YOU” my friend, yes nobody cares as much about “YOU” as “YOU” Right now it is understandable that “YOU” are down on yourself. Even believing that this is all too much and that “YOU” are not up to the challenge. This is normal and is okay, not a cause at all for concern. These are moments that will continue with “YOU” until your heart stops beating. Twenty plus years and a reasonably good life and I still wonder some days. When Trigeminal Neuralgia comes back, which it will in the next year or so, I will wonder very very hard. Can I cope this time?

We all have ms of some type, the wondering never goes away. It is up to us to become the best, most ultimate manager of our condition. While “YOU” are learning all about your condition, take time to learn about yourself. What makes “YOU’ tick, what stimulates and drives “YOU” Nobody can tell “YOU” this but that face staring back at “YOU” in the mirror. Nobody but “YOU” will spend every moment making sure your Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT) is working its best, that “YOU” are eating right, exercising getting the best the most positive inputs to your body. No, only “YOU” and yes it can be done, by “YOU”

Pay attention to yourself, take notes. Know when “YOU” are ignoring your own best advice. Trust me, “YOU” most certainly will. Be aware that there are consequences to bad decisions and get on with your life. As the SAS (British Special Forces Unit) say nothing ventured nothing gained. Take the risk to live well and happy, do not sit in the orner in the dark.

This is only ms, nothing that cannot be managed and lived with, by your expert, “YOU”. Pay attention to yourself, and learn to say “NO and WHY” if that is what “YOU” want to do.

stand for yourself always, nobody but you know you inside and out.

You are, after all, your best advocate. You know what is and what isn't good for you, and in the end, the only one that you'll end up hurting is YOU. So, be good to yourself. It is far easier said than done, my friend. :-D

yes, I would agree but it is what we must do, but who said this life was meant to be easy?

You are correct. As one ant said to another ant, in Ants, the movie, 'Yes, that's our lot in life. It's not a lot, but it's a life.' :-D
