Hi everyone!
I just thought I would share with everyone that my first dose of ocrevus will be in a couple weeks. I can't believe how quickly time goes by and I was diagnosed close to15 years ago. As usual though, things can always be worse.

Yes, it definitely has been a while.
It will be fine and it goes fast for me even though it is a few hours,I spend the majority of my time running to the restroom, the iv makes me, you know.the place I have this done is a big circle of chairs with folks with different issues from cancer treatment to organ transplant .It makes me feel fortunate I "just" have ms.Everyone is alittle nervous the first time, it is always the fear of the unknown,You will do great, let us know
Good luck.
Just don't worry if you get a little rash during your first infusion, it is very common. I got it on my face but didn't feel it but the nurse saw it. All that was needed to make it go away was to slow the infusion and a cool cloth over it for a few minutes. Haven't had it happen again and I have been on it for over 2 years. Expect to take a nap, the 50mg of Benadryl always knocks me out for an hour or two. Luckily I am awake enough to drive home by the time it is all done. Be sure to find out if you need to bring your own lunch. I had my husband come with the first time since I didn't know how I would feel to drive home but go by myself now.
Good luck and many blessings!
