So after a productive day and feeling good got more work done than I have in ages ..

I am now sitting in A&E with my boyfriend as he has just had an epileptic seizure . Started 22:30 ( we are in uk , it’s currently 02:30 am ) I am now thinking should I be here as Doesn’t O mean I am more susceptible to viruses ??

Yes I have MS and he has epilepsy , we make quite the team, between us with could do pretty well on the black market for certain drugs .. just kidding

I can’t leave him really . His temp is currently very high and his heart rate is higher than normal .

Is it wrong I want them to admit him as I know I will be up all worrying , and at least if he is here they will monitor what is going on.

What a time you both must be having! I do hope he is admitted to discover what is wrong. I hope you get some rest and that your boyfriend is all right.,

Thank you .. Don’t think we will be out of here yet . They can’t work out if he is running a temp cause of seizure or has the seizure caused the temp . Bloods and x Ray all clear. So that’s good they have given him fluids and antibiotics to try and get temp and heart rate down .. tomorrow is going to be a long old day for me . xAx

Morning all .. they kept him in as heart rate and temp were still high . Managed to get 2 hours sleep as I have work today . Think they are running more tests as bloods were fine last night . But worries there is a virus causing the issue as to sets of antibiotics haven’t brought down the temp . I am going to have a power nap later as what I don’t want to do is fall asleep all day and mess up sleep pattern

You might want to consider wearing a face mask, at the hospital, now that you are on ocrevus. I keep one in my purse. I wish I had thought to wear it over Christmas when we were out and about. I picked up terrible respiratory infection. Hope all guess well for your big today.

Hi all , been so touched by all your comments . He is home now , very tired ( no one gets rest in a hospital) very sore, so fed him and he has fallen asleep.

I am fine , not sure if it was adrenaline or infusion but actually got a lot of things done today . Did more steps than I have in a month ( mostly walking around A&E last night ), it’s a positive that I am still going as this time 2 months ago I would have crashed hard by now .

On another positive I quit smoking in new year . Something I would have done a couple of months ago would be to smoke to calm down and was worried I would want to do that last night, but nothing . Didn’t want one , didn’t feel the need for one .

So another positive out of what has been a crazy crazy week.

Glad to hear everything is working out for you and your boyfriend. Keep strong on quitting smoking. Please don't start that up again. My dad passed away almost 5 years ago now from lung cancer. His idea to cut down on cigarettes was to start smoking cigars instead. We had a lifetime battle over his smoking. We want you here for a long time.

I have had seizures (grand mal) before. The thing I really had to do after was sleep. So if he sleeps a lot, don't worry!
