What are some of your Christmas traditions or just what are you doing for the holiday?
The one tradition I have is getting together with my extended family on the Saturday between Christmas and New Years. My siblings and I have been doing this for as long as I remember. it started at our parents house but they have been gone for 7 years and we have kept it up so now it includes our adult children and their children.

Church Christmas Eve, Santa glass of port and mince pie, carrot and reindeer food, bacon butties in the morning followed by full turkey dinner, of course we pull the wish bone of the turkey. Plum pudding, lit with brandy served with rum sauce, then it’s silly games and photos. Blessings Jimeka 🎄
Christmas Eve with my wife’s family and Mexican food 🥘. Kinda different but everyone eats different so this way they can do there own add ons👍🙏. Ken 🐾🎄⛄️🎅❄️🛷🎊
No travel Xmas eve so we wake up Xmas day and open gifts at home, just us, no stress. Lunch and gifts with Gma/others, etc.
Open stocking gifts Xmas eve, watch the cartoon Grinch, then cookies and milk are left for Santa (he’s getting hot cocoa and baileys this year!).
Elf. Die Hard.
Usually a mince pie, but it’s hard to find here, so I hope my mom makes one.
Naps.
Shameless snacking.
We are creating traditions now, so trying some meal ideas and seeing what will stick; rib roast, pierogies, blaukraut, asparagus, mulled cider and hopefully a mince pie.
I give my mother’s husband the gifts she bought herself for him to give her and I mark up the price (transaction fee or middle person fee) since he thinks I bought it.
One year she found out I was marking up the asking price and tried to take it . After I told her it was the gift or mark up she backed down
Today was Christmas Eve dinner at the in-laws with Family. And exchange some gifts. On Christmas we open gifts at home, then go to the in-laws and eat breakfast, open gifts there with immediate family and our way back home we stop by my parents house to open gifts and hang out. Then finally come home to settle down and relax with my husband, kiddos and my furbabies. 🎄😊❤🌷
I celebrate with my family. My sister and I each have an adult daughter. Both girls live across the country and it’s easier for them to get time off from work around New Year’s so we celebrate late. The girls bring their significant others too. It’s a full day starting with stockings and breakfast. Afterwards we open gifts and hang out until dinner. Our traditional dinner is turkey with all the fixings plus Christmas Cookies and my niece’s fabulous cheesecake for dessert.
