This is a condition I can not beat but....

NO, I am afraid that "YOU" can not beat it. It does not matter how much "YOU" exercise, how well "YOU" eat, or how well motivated "YOU" and everybody around "YOU" are. Nor how many Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT) or miracle cures "YOU" take. My friend we have Relapsing Remitting ms (RRms) from this day until the day we die. I am very sorry to say those are the facts, I wish it was not true but it is.

Now that I have upset "YOU" but stating the unattractive truth let us look at we CAN do. Yes, "YOU" and I, all of us CAN do something to make this easier. NOT a stroll in the park but certainly not a never-ending uphill trek.

Take the DMT, it will not cure any of us but it does slow things down. This is not a race, first into any type of invalid\disabolity status is not the winner. That lady at the back of the line just slowly strolling along looking at the view paying nothing any attention is the winner. All of us want to follow her lead. Do what she does and try to come in last. The last place person gets to walk there Great Grandchildren down the aisle. YOU do want that to be YOU don't YOU?

Along your very long msLife "YOU" and only "YOU" are ultimately responsible for what happens. The fears "YOU" have I understand, sometimes I still have them and I have been at this for twenty years. Come to terms with "YOU" this condition and others around "YOU". I had the best of guides to help me, look for that person or people to help "YOU". If somebody or something is not helping let it GO. Not what "YOU" want to do but perhaps what "YOU" must do. This illness is lifelong, I will say that again lifelong. Do not carry a heavy bag full of memories and regrets with "YOU" just burdening "YOU" and slowing "YOU" down. Stand straight, pull your shoulders back and move. One step at a time. Left Right left, do "YOU" see what is happening "YOU are moving along your ms life path. Stop and cry, scream, or whatever when "YOU" need to. It is okay, just keep moving one step at a time.

No, "you" may not be able to beat it, but it is possible to live it well.

Well said! I have lived with it for almost 40 years, and I won't give up!

Never a need to, just one foot in front of the other and keep moving

Absolutely! As an animal lover and a gardener, as long as I'm covered in hair and can play in the dirt, it is a great day!
