Starting Ocrevus

Solumedral always did wonders when I needed it. I start me first O infusion the Monday and pray for the best. I got off Abagio and found out it was working. For all I had to go through to get it out of my system I sure hope Ocrevus works.

It seems that the transition process can be the most difficult part of switching to Ocrevus, but can be well worth it. Keep posting about your results, won't you?

It took me 5 months before I started to notice a difference. I was on Tysabri. My washout felt longer than it actually was. I go fot my first full dose of O on Tuesday. Seeing how it didn't feel like iit wasn't doing anything and I felt and looked worse. I didn't know if I was gonna continue taking O. But in the last month my walking has improved beyond any of my expectations. I was thinking I was headed for the wheelchair. Not now. Keep your head up and keep looking forward. My thoughts are already looking forward to May when my step daughter is getting married and I will probably be the one walking her down the aisle.

That will be the greatest steps you will take. Good luck and my prayers are with you!

I had my first O treatment today and don't notice anything different good or bad. My second one is two weeks from today. All went well with no after challenges other than I'm a little groggy.

Pleased it went well, but donโ€™t go over doing it if you feel energised, that could be the steroids, Blessings Jimeka ๐Ÿฆ‹

I hope it works well for you. Iโ€™m supposed to start my first dose of O on January 4. May I ask how long you were off Aubagio prior to your first infusion? I am waiting to hear from my doctor when I should stop it. (unfortunately, communication can be very challenging and a lengthy process with this Dr). Just interested in a point of comparison.

I stopped Abagio on Columbus Day and too the stuff to rid myself of the Abagio for 11 days 3 times a day to clean out my system. I have me first O infusion Monday 11/19 and will let you know how I do.

What stuff do you take to rid yourself of Aubagio?

Kindly, let me know your feedback. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Johngm, it's Fancy. Early in December I go for my 1 year or third dose of ocrevus. So far it's like stop falling and hurting myself I've noticed an improvement in my specificity and walking seems to be a little bit stronger and faster. Now it will only help to rebalance my whole being to a center point that keeps me from acting like a Weeble although instead of Weebles wobble and they don't fall down I do fall down!๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜•

Overall the powers to be, like my old Doctor Who was instrumental in doing the clinical trials on ocrevus and getting it approved said to give it time because it takes a year and a half to two and a half years to really start to make a difference. He told me not to get off of it and to give it a chance because it was what I needed to beat this monster back. Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you. I personally have never had any problem with the infusions and I hope it goes smoothly for you. Fancy.

It depends on your insurance. Without insurance the cast is $35,000, yes $35,000. I hope you have good insurance.
