Remember the problem was with trying to press the like button and it would never register well I figured out what to do. Now this is on my iPhone after pressing the like button it will read unlike then I press the like button again and it goes back to like. I don’t know how this works I’m just going with it.

when you press the like button, that registers as a "like" when it says "unlike" that would be erasing the "like". You can think of it as a confirmation that your like was registered. Hope that helps.
I have that problem, I press the like and it registers unlike, so then I press it again in case it has registered that I don’t like the post. I don’t want to upset anyone, so I wait for more posts to be posted then I press like and it works. Thanks for explaining it, 🦋
I know this can be quite confusing, let me try to explain it differently. When you first see the "Like" button it should show "Like". If many others had clicked on it, it should show "Like (#)". When you click on the "Like" button it will show "Like (#,+1). Now if you roll over the "Like" button with your mouse it should show "Unlike". If you click it again, the "Like" button will show "Like (#)". [ie. "Like" (4) when you first see it "Like (5) after you click it. Now if you were to click it again "unlike" the like button now will go back to being what it was when you first saw it "Like (4)]. They do this for one of two reasons.
1. when is shows a "unlike" button, you know you have already clicked it.
2. it allows you to change your mind if you had clicked the "like" button, you can now "unlike" it , or think of it as rescinding your vote.
If you are the first one on the "scene" and no-one have clicked the "Like" button, it will show "Like". When you click it, it will now show "Like (1)" and if you roll over the button it will show "unlike".
I hope the details I describe above helps to clear up the confusion. Take care and let me know if I can be of more help. ~terry
ssdw1958 It did take me a while to figure out also. As I write, the likes for your post look like this: Like (6). When I go back and press Like, it will briefly change to unlike, before coming back to Like. BUT, the number has changed to (7) which I believe means my like was registered, so I don't press it again. That's only a theory and may not be correct!!!
