I recently used a wheel chair that was very comfortable due to the seat cushion - maybe a drug store that also sells wheel chairs and/or wheel chair items.

Walmart carried a gell cushion designed to fit and basically an office-type chair. It was only about 2 to 3 in thick. The commercial showed at lady sitting on the cushion with an egg between her and the cushion in the egg not breaking. The cushion looked amazingly comfortable. It was kind of in the As Seen On TV section. You might as well go check it out Mossell and see if they are still there. It might be really close to what you're looking for. Good luck. Fancy.
