Well folks sorry I haven't been online have had a lot of stuff to sort out😯😯😯😯. The application for ill health early retirement which is supported by my neurologist and occupational health physician, was rejected by Medigold Health who seem to think I can work full-time! I've appealed so waiting for that now. I am so angry and upset if I could work with my aggressive MS then I would be back at work but I have been told a big fat NO! Sorry to vent I'm just speechless I'm afraid. I'm even looking at jobs and unfortunately I can't do any of them! πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜•πŸ˜•πŸ˜›πŸ˜•πŸ˜ŸπŸ˜ŸπŸ˜ŸπŸ˜Ÿβ˜Ήβ˜Ήβ˜Ήβ˜Ή. Hope u are all well xxx

I feel your pain figuratively speaking both of my shoes have hit the floor in my job I’m out and I had to retierer yes I am Disabilit but I don’t make the big bucks like people think so your retired and disabled you must make big money No No I am lucky if I clear $300.00 a month and yes I still have my Insurance but we still have to pay for it. and believe you it is triple what I get in my retirement. So I now what your going through. I hope you get what you need.

I’m sorry you have to go through this. Bureaucracy is the pits to deal with. I hope your appeal gets handled swiftly and with some common sense. Keep us posted.

Janetb1968, it's Fancy1959. I am unfamiliar with Medigold Health. Have you applied for Social Security yet under the disability Act? Now if they Medigold Health is similar is normal procedure with Social Security to be turn down the first two times you apply. It is frustrating and unbelievable but you have to jump through the hoops they require. Finally on the 3rd attempt you would ask for a conference in front of a judge to determine your eligibility for Social Security disability. Before you can go in front of a judge you really need to have an attorney by your side. It's I believe that all a big racket to get the most money out of us they can but if you're persistent and careful about your appeal dates you can, with the correct documentation and professionals behind you, get Social Security disability. You will have less to prove toward being disabled as you grow older. Requirements for disability grow less and less stringent each 5 years in age you achieve. I did not get Social Security until I was 55 about 4 years ago go. If your disability is greater than mine was at 50 though you have a good shot of getting approved. Hang in there and work that appeal. Don't give up, adventually you will get disability. In the meantime, vent all you need that's what we're here for. If you have any further questions just give me a shout. Take care and take a deep breath to relax because getting extremely upset and anxious doesn't help the appeal process go any faster. What it will help is your MS to feed off that anxiety and allow your disability to grow faster. Fancy.

Hi Fancy1959 thank u for the reply, im not sure if the UK system is the same as the States.Im just in a muddle about it all I really am. I know what the occupational health physician stated I wasn't going back to work full-stop and that's why ill health early retirement was talked about! My MS is very aggressive and active and my neurologist explained to Medigold about it. The neuroscience department at the hospital I go to also sent Medigold Health paperwork on my behalf and they still said no.....unbelievable! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

I’m sorry to hear this, janetb1968. Did you get an attorney? My first application was denied, which I understand the majority are, but then I got an attorney and had the required psychological testing done and was approved.

Thanks Marilyn I won't give up it's just my MS is very aggressive and my consultant wrote to them and explained it was. The guy on the pensions advice helpline I spoke to was disgusted they said no! He read what my neurologist wrote about my MS and he was appalled they said no xx

I think that they just say no, the first time, just because they have so many people applying and figure if you keep trying then maybe you really need it.

janetb1968 HAPPY BIRTHDAY late dear. So sorry about failing to get your early retirement. Did your MS Dr. put it in for you? I had one back in 2015 who put in my SSI disability & it went through the first time. Course he retired that summer & the Neuro he passed me to was not interested in MS. He trained for strokes & Parkinson disease. Then that company wouldn't take my Ins. I had to go to. So I left there but one of the girls in the infusion area helped me get restarted else where. Oh my so sorry I didn't mean to be this long winded.

Hi hun and thank u for the birthday wishes xx I'm a staff nurse in the UK so my trade union The Royal College of Nursing heard about my problems from one of my work friends. So they are helping me with the appeal so I feel better about it thank u xxxx

Janet,

The job of the insurance company is to reject every claim. Resubmit your info and see what happens. I was approved by the State for permanent disability and the insurance company rejected it. They’ll have to approve you eventually. Have your doctor send a note. That might help. Mine was quite indignant with them. They finally approved my claim. BTW, they do not care if you have bills to pay, but tell them anyway. Good luck, you’ll win.
