Since I started in a new store with very little staff. I’ve bedn struggling for two weeks. Struggling with the heat of department and the longer hours I’m not use to working in this kind of environment. I did long hours as a deli manager which was ok. Last week wiped me out. Day off yesterday and I was so tired it was a struggle to do anything.
I’ve talked to my bosses but they don’t seem like they get it. Email neurologist Friday. They tell me not to get over heated. Take breaks when I’m hot and drink water. Those are great suggestions but not possible. Nurse is going to ask him to write a letter. Stating all of that. I think they just need to put me back in deli. Not their fault I’m in the new department. I didn’t know how it would effect me.
I do know I’ll have a long talk with the when I’m back from vacation next week. I also k is legally they can not fire me or demote me

Hi Smartcloud1981 , I'm sorry to hear of the challenges you're having in the new department. I wanted to mention the Job Accommodation Network as another possible resource regarding workplace accommodations and how to ask and have this conversation and knowing what your rights are, askjan.org/. Hopefully with the letter from your doctor this will better clarify things for them too. I hope your workplace is able to work with you on your needs soon, best of luck and take care.
