I've been having a pain, kind of like a "Charlie horse" cramp, in my lower right leg. It has probably been about 6 weeks. It doesn't come and go away like a "Charlie horse" cramp. It is constant all day and night - like a tight cramp - from mild to medium but constant. I haven't injured myself or over exercised. I stretch it and sometimes it helps. I can still walk. I'm wondering if any of my MS friends have any experience with this... I have my annual MRI and Neuro appt next week!!

Pain in the Calf!
Not to sound alarmist, but I think you should alert your doctor, since calf pain can signal other problems unrelated to MS.
jodigirl750 , I hate ypur having to go through this. I understand it all to well. I get them far to often. I have had one in my right shoulder blade that has been there for years. It's been that way for so long it's actually made the muscle group larger from the constant tightness. Without muscle relaxers I would get them to terribly my whole body will seize up. At my worst point I have counted over a hundred of them at once. Some the size of a bb others like the shoulder about a golf ball. Mine at due to spaticity and are kept tolerable with my muscle relaxer. I started on Baclofen, then that became ineffective and changed to zanaflex. After a time that also started to fail and now I'm on cyclobenzaprine. I have been with that one for about a year. Wen they first started up in 2013 or so, I started with massage therapy and that helped a little, all but the one in my shoulderblade. My massage therapist noticed it wouldn't go away and asked me to see my doctor about having it checked out. Doctor sent me for an ultrasound and sure enough, just enlarged muscle. I did massage therapy for a while until it got so difficult I couldn't stand to be touched. When I finally started the muscle relaxers it got better for awhile, I still get then on occasion but it's not nearly as painful (normally) than it has been in the past. I get them everywhere and anywhere there is muscle. I agree with starlight5 talk with your Neuro and he/she should be able to get you on the right track to help.
Yep I can relate to exactly the same pain and I'm really glad your seeing the doc and having the MRI. Please let us know the verdict.
Sending you strength and wishing you the best
