Pain in the Brain

Does anyone ever have pain in your brain a few days right before a relapse or exacerbation? I have noticed over the past year that I have sharp pains, as if someone was poking me with an electric needle, right before an exacerbation. I can generally tell when I'm going to have an exacerbation in a day or two after I first feel the pain. Sometimes the pain stops before the attack and sometimes it lasts through the attack. If it lasts through the attack I usually have had a bad one that lasts for several days and that has left residual effects such as numbness, prickly points or pain. Otherwise it only lasts about 24 hours. My neuro thought it was interesting that I can feel the pain of the nerve in my brain. She had not had any other patient that presented that kind of pain. I'm curious to find out how many others out there have experienced this.

Hello. I have had those type of pains in my head exactly like you're describing but I can never say that I had an exacerbation after that but I do understand the pain that you're feeling. I pray that all goes well with you hang in there girl lots of love.

Thanks! I'm just thankful that I get a warning it's coming & can prepare, like not making plans for the next couple of days or stay inside etc.

What a mixed blessing! It's a good thing to get a little warning, but, oh, dear! I'm sure you'd rather be in blissful ignorance. Does you neuro treat you based on the pain/relapses?

Nothing other than DMT & solumedrol stop over 3 days if needed.
