Ampyra and Ocrevus
I have been on Ampyra probably 8 years and I started taking Ocrevus September 2017. I have have not had any problems with the two of themselves medicines together.
Every day!!
I’m hoping to start ampyra soon. At least I message my neurologist yesterday about it.
Starting Ampyra ASAP IF my insurance approves it. Not on Ocrevus though.... following this post

My doctor called it “the walking pill”. He explained it as helping the signals cross the damaged parts of nerves “quicker” for those of us who have trouble walking. Guessing since you haven’t heard of it you haven’t had trouble walking; you are blessed!!
I have foot drop in both feet, and where "soccer braces" per my grandson.💕 But they Don't know why.
So sometimes I do, but it's not been mentioned yet.

Pretty good so far! It’s 8:15 am and I got up and was able to walk 1 mile with my dog. Doesn’t seem like a lot but when I was {somewhat} of a runner until 5 months ago and couldn’t even walk from the bedroom to the kitchen without running into everything; I will take it as a small victory.
How are YOU doing this morning??
I've been on Ampyra for a year and a half and it does help with walking. I went off it for a week (changing insurance) and noticed a difference in how difficult it was to move my "bad" leg. Defiantly speeds up my walking.
I want to say I was asked when I would order the Ampyra if I think it was working and I would reply I am not sure the only way to find out would be to get off of it an a part of me wanted to but the other part didn’t want to. Well the part that didn’t want to always won. So I have not been with out it. So I’ll just stay with it.
I know what you mean. I often wonder if any of the drugs we take actually work as well as we hope or think. Because of the fluctuation of symptoms, even with the Ampyra, I have better walking days and worse. To see if it was really working I would want to stop for at least a couple weeks. The one week I was off was convincing then, but now I would want to stay off longer and actually do timed walks to gather some actual data, not just the 25ft they have you walk in the doctors office, but around the block or a mile.
But having said all that I'll just keep taking the pill & believe it is helping.
