Ampyra
I take Ampyra, it has helped me since I have drop foot. I do know it doesn't help everyone. You have to try it and judge for yourself.
I tried it about ten years ago and didn’t help any 😔. Ken 🐾🐾
I tried it about 7 years ago, and it didn’t work as well as I thought that it would. My neurologist told me that it has a 22% chance of working so she wasn’t surprised that it wasn’t effective on me. Just remember, Neworleanslady , it addresses the symptoms of walking with difficulty, but it doesn’t fix the cause.
I started it this year. After a few weeks, I felt it was helping. Not as much anymore. That may be because of progression? I would have to stop taking it to see if it makes a difference.
Yes, I’ve taken it since it became available. It helps me tremendously with my foot drop. I can definitely tell if I miss a dose.
I have been taking ampyra or now the generic for years as usual it effects each person differently the drug helps me dramaticly in the morning helping with spaticity with my legs like every other MS drug my neurologist has prescribed some have helped and some have not but ampyra has certainly helped me.
I took it for several years after it came out. I really never noticed a difference. I quit a year ago or so, mostly due to high cost, even though my copay was covered by patient assistance, lack of noticeable improvement also a factor. But everyone is different, I wish the best for you, good luck! 🥰
Thank you for those replies!
I take but the key is you must practice your walking as well
