Crashed PC Fixed

Got it back on Monday. It was some kind of power thing inside. I believe it was Ms-Indestructible that gave me the correct DX of the problem. I have it all back together and it's running fine. I'm very pleased with the local repair shop and going to give them High marks on Yelp. Does anyone else use yelp? I sure wish our MS issues could be fixed so easily.

Hurrah! I'm so glad for you!

So happy you got it back. Power supplies are one of the biggest failures of home computers. Most people will put them on the floor or somewhere on the corner of the desk. The power supply also draws air into the pc and helps to keep it cool. If the air vents get blocked, the power supply heats up then fails. One of the overlooked things is that the power supply also brings in dust and it collects inside the power supply and the computer. After a few years [depending how dusty where you live] the dust builds up in the power supply and it over heats and fails. It is a good idea to open up your computer and check the dust accumulation and the power supply and use caned air to blow out all the dust from the computer and the power supply. [common cents would say to do this outside, but I'vve been known to over look common cents]. This is what i believe happened to your computer. ~terry

PS it was someone else that made that dx, but thanks for the credit :^) LOL [Lots of Love]

I learned about cleaning the inside with my first pc. I was mad because our department at work was going to be the last to get desktop pc's. I went out totally blind about pc's and a very awesome young man educated me, offered lessons, taught me the importance of keeping it clean, inside and out, clear of obstructions. Even gave me my first MS Word program free. I know then probably had cd's then, but I think my first was 3" floppys..😀

awesome, I like to teach people also. Sounds like the power supply just went bad. It happens no matter how well you maintain your computer. Great news that you don't need to go back and recover files off a bad drive. I'm sure you will be backing them up now. I still have to do the same with my pc. I'm still working on two others but MS gets in the way. I'm happy for you ~terry

That’s Great 😁 🖥 are great when running but then ugh 😑 they die. Mine died a year ago and have not replaced it, but my son gave me his Mac laptop and that has worked out. Tomorrow I am going to buy a wireless wi-fi printer to print with from pc and I-phone 👍Will also have connections for landline for faxes 🙏🐾🐩🐕🐶 Ken

I have a laptop also. For the most part the 2 pc's are synced. I had knee replacement 4 yrs ago and got the laptop for while I was out of commission.
