The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is celebrating March as MS Awareness Month. Specifically they are celebrating MS Awareness Week March 11th through March 17th . They have asked us to help spread the word about MS and offered several ways in which we can become involved;

* They suggest we take action by getting involved in their events.

*Get involved to help others learn specifics about MS.

* They asked that we help to spread the word about MS.

*Finally they asked that we join an event and do everything we can to make that event successful.

The NMSS also celebrates World MS day on May 30th 2018. This world celebration has happened every year since 2009. For more information on it visit their website @ worldmsday.org .

For additional information about MS and what it entails visit the NMSS's YouTube channel. On their Channel they have many educational videos about MS. Simply type in the National Multiple Sclerosis Association YouTube channel and you will find videos such as; What is MS? How MS impacts us all. MS connections to PSA. And current MS research.

They offer a variety events all across the nation. They can be found across most states. To find out information on them contact your local National Multiple Sclerosis Society chapter. Simply call the NMSS at 1 800 fight MS. From this number they will give you information on how to contact your local chapter. You can sign up for events such as; MS Walks, Bike MS, Challenge Walk MS, Muckfest MS, and DIY fund raising for MS.

Finally the NMSS gives us a guideline on how to take action and become more involved with MS. It entails taking action by;

*Becoming an MS activist.

*Connect online to other MS communities and websites. ( We've got this one already in the bag!)

*Stay informed about the latest Innovations and research being done about MS. (Once again this falls right at our fingertips through this wonderful chat room.)

*And finally to help raise money wherever we can to fund the research that will one day change the lives of all people with MS. This does not mean that we need to open our already beleaguered checkbooks and write huge checks ourselves. Instead by becoming involved in their events it is relatively easy to raise money through your community, the businesses you frequent and have known for years, friends, family, and neighbors who have watched firsthand the struggles you face everyday with MS. Most times they are please to be asked to donate to help fund the research that will one day conquer this monster we all battle everyday! Get involved! Remember together we are stronger!
