Day 24 gratitude

I am grateful for a very special man that convinced me to elope 28 years ago today! He thought if we got married the day after Thanksgiving he would remember the anniversary date, I didn’t want to pop his bubble and tell them the day would change every year😊💗He still remembers every year though.

jackiesj The scoop is: we both believe in marriage. We meet in 1984, I think I fell in love that night, we dated for about 6wks, both of us had marriages to end.. we were both in the process of securing divorces. We got back together in 1986, marriage was discussed but we both needed time. We almost eloped a few times in 1989. We can thank the California tax board, I had claimed him that year on my taxes as he wasn’t working right then. They said I couldn’t and penalized me $350. I got home from work and told him, “It’s time!” We set the date, didn’t tell anyone, went to Tahoe in a snow storm and got married. Had a nice dinner and drove home. He’s still romantic, came home today with a dozen red roses 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💗💗

Oh ya he's a keeper!How romantic a story!!!!I figure for me the first marriage was practice, and i got 2 beautiful babes out of it....He is actually a friend now that we don't live under the same roof.Now my husband of 34 years met him 4th of july married august!Eloped also.....we should have made more memories to rely on hard times but.....we grew up together....

Even before MS, he was always thoughtful and considerate. Can't believe his other wife and girls friends before that let him get away.. Maybe they helped him become the wonderful man he is now.

Happy anniversary. We celebrated 47 yrs November 6. Seems like it was yesterday.
