Began at 2:33AM with Hubby rapping on bedroom door frame saying "Get up, you said you could be ready to roll by 3:00AM! Ok I'm up, putting on warm slippers because floor is cold. Those slippers saved the day! OK I was ready to roll by 2:56AM and proud of it. I organized as much as I could last night. I took a pillow and put on floor of 4Runner, blanket over legs.. coffee in container .. He forgot his coffee, we had to stop for gas (what, you didn't do that yesterday on way home from golf?) Ok, we made the 90+mile trip to San Francisco UCSF MS Clinic ahead of the daily commute by 5:00AM. We went inside of building and while we waited I wrote notes from my journal of how yucky my legs and feet of been since first of Aug. Felt I was starting to go backwards..
Enough of boring details. Feeling pretty good, but feet were still numb, cramps and spasms in toes. Left those warm fuzzy slippers on.. I was first appt of the day. Dr. in good mood. Surprised to see hubby have to help me up. (I love that the drs come out and get their patients personally!) I really did struggle to get to exam room. It all got better from there. We discussed all the possible medication changes, DMT's and updates available.. Dr. was pleased with my research, knowledge of some meds.
We decided to increase dosages on all the current meds and he wrote a script for LDN. So excited to get started.. I would sure appreciate any of you taking LDN to please send me a link to a compounding Pharmacy. I found one only 10 miles away, they want $72. for a 30 day supply no matter what my doctor's RX says. It says quick release, 180 capsules and 4 refills. So I will continue looking for pharmacies tonight on the net. I mentioned to my Dr. that it seemed silly to write a script for 30 days 60 tabs at 2 a day and he sent rx to my pharmacy increased the amount of an RX.. Do we not have 31 days this month? Anyway, that's how my check-up went.. and I wore the slippers out to breakfast after! Tonight, I have increased the Baclofen and the Gabapentin. Feet still yucky, I'm hopeful for better days ahead.
