My MS is holding steady but the rest of me is falling apart!

Hi, I haven't said much but I think I'd like to trade myself in for a better running model! In May I was having seizures, June I spent 6 nights in the hospital w/ pneumonia and now I'm back in after having surgery on my ankle that I broke in 3 places and dislocated on this last Tuesday. I really want to go home today so hopefully that will be my next post

What a tough time you’ve been having! I’m hoping and praying that life gives you a rest from so many difficulties.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful response. If you wouldn't mind reading my reply to the next response you might see that I go forward every day with the sense of humor that our Good Lord gave me. For next month I should think of a contest where we can each find the most obscure illness. Ok, yes, I'm still on pain meds.

That God-given sense of humor gets us through so much, doesn’t it? I got together again today with my little quilt group made up of mostly β€œolder” gals. We’re all train wrecks in one way or another, but we all have wonderful laughs about our foibles and physical or mental weaknesses. We still get quilts made that look great in spite of our laughter, or maybe because of it.

Keep laughing!

Hey MaggieT1,

So awful. I am not sure what to say except, when things start looking down, look up.

I am looking forward to your next post as well.

Take care, and I am sending you positive thoughts and prayers.

Carole

Thanks carolel572! I am Catholic and our Parish Priest is young and somewhat of a rebel. He told me that "The Lord won't ever give you more than you can carry, He just knows that you're badass and so far you haven't dropped anything" Well, when he put it that way, all I could do was laugh!

Have a great day, God Bless you!

Thank you for your thoughtful response; I don't go anywhere without the Good Lord on one shoulder and my Great Grandma on the other and they always agree with each other. I am very blessed to have a great husband, a perfect Lord and Savior, and all of you sending me your Blessings.

Your cat is beautiful, I have a Siamese mix with blue eyes although she has short hair. She also talks and whines more than daughter who moved out and left her with me!

I'm glad that your ankle eventually felt normal or at least close to it. I'm still in the hospital, the Dr wanted me to work with physical therapy for another day. So one more day!

Wow! Sounds like quite the adventure that you, and the rest of us, hope you don't have to repeat! Did MS have anything to do with the seizures? I've not heard of this connection before.
