Jesmcd2 apparently binaural

"external sound will try to change 'brain-waves' in a way to match itself. Thus, the binaural beat of a particular frequency will enhance a certain frequency in the brain which will then have a particular outcome."

@erash it sounds very much like a Tibetan bowl and tuning fork. 🦋 🌈

jimeka it does sound similar! I think I read somewhere that NASA (space agency) has some involvement with binaural sound?

I use these at night to go to sleep. I put in my earbuds and listen on my MP3. It helps shut out other noise, keeps my mind from wandering off on troubling thoughts, and it's a pleasant sound that helps me drift off.

I just tried playing this fr my kittens, hoping it might calm them down...no such luck but they love the bird sounds that I googled ;-)

erash Very interesting, thank you. I do not know if this will help everyone with pain issues; at least for me pain is very sporadic & unpredictable, although it does seem to occur at certain times of day (morning). I can see this being a useful meditation tool.

Btw, I don't know if I have mentioned this but since I have been taking L-Carnitine together with Alpha Lipoic acid my pain episodes have been reduced considerably, and before that they were becoming more frequent & severe. I can't say for sure that these supplements have been the cause but it might be worth a try.
