hi I’m Tricia and have r r Ms . We are commercial peach growers. Surrounded by 400 orachard fans by neighbors with orchard as well . Like being out at the air port with the plane lol . 3 days ago the freeze started and all fans started . I stepped out side and it was like the sound whop whop whoosh went through my body . Pain shot down my arms and back hips then weakness and my legs gave out . I’m so sincitive to loud sounds it hurts so bad !! Sneezing loud . Sounds like motorcycle leaves my body shaking and very weak loud music I fall asleep . My neurologist said it has nothing to do with Ms ! Please someone my body hasn’t stopped vibrating thank you

Search the posts over the last couple weeks. I swear someone else mentioned something like this recently.

I don't get extensive pain, but I do tend to vibrate when I hear certain noises. Sometimes I'm okay with them, and sometimes they just send me straight up. So far, I'm okay with my own mower but not always with the neighbors'. I also have a lot of trouble with my hair dryer but not the electric jigsaw. It's weird, because I never know what's going to set me off. Sometimes it's also caused by humming fluorescent lights.

boyfriend sneezes so loud That hurts . Rumble of a motorcycle. Asked him about it my dr gaslighting say no no that couldn’t have caused it . I’m so sound sensitive so empathic . Yes lights and the hum from them . Squeaking of basketball shoes it’s been 2 days and my body finally stopped vibrating .

Vibrations from machines (riding mower, hand drills, staple guns) cause numbness in my feet/legs or hands/fingers. Also along with MS has come an increased sensitivity to sudden loud noises causing a whole body jerk similar to new born infants startle reflex, so though you and I are not neurologists, we know our bodies. My suspicion is that your reaction to the fans, like mine to vibrations and loud sounds are evidence of nerve damage somewhere along the wires. You might try wearing noise cancelling ear protection and see if that helps with your sensitivity -- not the foam ear plugs but the best protection available, designed for those who work around jet engines and similar loud machines. Keep us posted if you find a solution (or someone willing to listen to your description of symptoms).

you know the sound in your ears after you turn your blower off . That’s the sound of 400 fans if you get the whooping sound. .,lol we are raw wires . My response. I walked out and stood there. The sound vibrated right through me . My arms started spaz the vibrating was so loud it started effecting my eyes then the whole right side of my body . Yes I jerk with sudden loud sounds . I’ve fallen asleep in a rock concert to loud . I love my yard tools but my arms do not lol . I am going to go get headphones. Great idea . Wired it’s like we now autistic

I had this when I was on metronidazole! Felt like I was being electrocuted! Every noise sent pain from my head down my arm. It was agonizing! Noise canceling headphones helped a ton and I stopped the med and it resolved. I’ll never take that again!

at other times too, I’m super sensitive to noise. It’s like it’s amplified in my head. I can usually separate myself from it and it stops.

Would a music-playing and noise-cancelling headphone help?

That's what we have to do as some dr.s should NOT have that title! They do more damage than good just because they can! Hope you get better soon. Mary

309Ygi, Everyone's MS is different. That's the first thing your doctor should have told you. I know at night sometimes I would lay on my bed after a busy day and I would ask my husband if he turned the vibration feature on the bed on because I felt like I was vibrating. It usually happened when I overdid it and I was exhausted and my body was exhausted. Think back and see how busy you were this past week. If you did too much with the freeze going on try taking it a little easier and see if your sense of vibration and sensitivity to loud noises become less of bother. You could always get a second opinion from my different neurologist. This time, try to find a neurologist that specializes in MS and see if the answer is different. Remember. You are the best advocate for your health. Fancy59.

I have something reminiscent with my ears, albeit far less intense. Sorry to hear of those whom are suffering. I have two types of triggers that produce a low pitched but loud thumping noise and a feeling of vibration and pressure in my ear. Its an odd feeling and luckily its only at the very discomforting level, not stabbing pain. One trigger is a bit odd so apologies. When I urinate.. Liquid contacting the water. THUMP THUMP THUMP rapidly and loudly like a base (vs treble) sound. Other is rain on a metal gutter. This one causes more discomfort for whacky unknown reasons. When the thump happens is when I feel a vibration and the pressure sensation. Its so rapid though the vibration is constant. This condition comes and goes. Not dx with MS, though I share some symptoms with those on the board so I stick around. I somewhat expect that in a few years I will show lesions somewhere.

Dan_NY, Go to unneurologist that specializes in MS.You need to go probably to teaching University in your area a big regional University and they should have MS department. That is what I would recommend. Ask that they do.whatever test that are necessary to make sure you do not have MS. They can do a spinal tap and it will show any indications that you are currently experiencing MS even though you do not have lesions. The reason I tell you to go now is that lesions equal disability. Do not wait for your nervous system or your brain to be damaged by lesions. You can prevent a lot of disability from occurring if you catch MS early. A lot of the new therapies on the market are great lesions inhibitors by protecting your body by slowing down disability and stopping a large number of of lesions from damaging your central nervous system and your brain. Dan take it from someone who knows. At 63. I am disabled and have a hard time even walking. Before MS was diagnosed at 53, I was very active, an athlete. road horses everyday, and backpacked a lot. Now, 10 Years later because I wasn't diagnosed for about fifteen years and I have a lot of leisions. I get to sit in a chair and look out the window at our beautiful farm. I dream of days gone by gone by when I used to walk down the roads and ride horses all over the surrounding farms. Don't take a chance and don't bet against MS because it can significantly damage and reroute your dreams in a hearbeat. Fancy59.
