Good, Thankyou. Busy getting ready for bonfire night, fireworks and all of the trimmings. The grandchildren are excited, we have made a Guy Fawkes, and all the burgers, sausages, and roast potatoes are ready to be cooked. We just need some dry weather. Hope all is good at your side of the world, cheers Jimeka

Where abouts do you live?

Donna_uno profile image
Donna_uno in reply tojimeka

Pensacola, Florida, it's in the panhandle (northwest corner).

Hope the bonfire and celebration went well and the grandchildren had a great time.

Jimeka, need translations: Guy Fawkes? Bonfire night? Is that a holiday there? 🙄

jimeka profile image
jimeka in reply toerash

No it's not a holiday , but every year on the November 5 th night we have a bonfire with fireworks. It's in remembrance of a man called Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. If you google it it will give you the full tail. It's just an excuse to eat again! 🎇

Ok, we Americans have been wrong all of these years, you Brits are not sedate and quiet! What an interesting piece of history to celebrate 🎉

Good evening Donna_uno from MSFIGHTER! I'm glad you finally let us know you've been shadowing us for some time. It doesn't matter how we help people with MS all that matters is that we do help people with MS. We could always use your input when other MSER'S post questions. Your wisdom with me greatly appreciate it and we would love to add it the input to our chat room. I look forward to talking to you soon. You know where to find us if your questions aren't answered before you can ask them! I would like you to remember that together we are stronger!

Thanks. We are all special in our own ways.

Yes, we are. And it's that special cord inside of each of us that makes us who we are.

I've been a member for 3 months. I didn't post much because we have been packing and moving.

Had to give up living on our sailboat and go back on land.

My husband would have us live on our (his) sailboat if he could. I'm not much of a sailor-and especially not when I can no longer see land. He just sailed from Seattle down to San Diego. We will 'camp out' on the boat off and on between now and when he sails away again in March. Where is your boat and where have you sailed, Donna_uno? Has MS become an obstacle for you on the boat? My balance and vertigo issues made my neuro 'forbid' me from sailing a couple years ago. I finally listened after falling too many times (once bad enough to need an ACL repair). I hope your move to land was something you were mentally and emotionally ready to do.

We just sold the boat. It is Pensacola,fl. We sailed all around the state of Fl. from Pensacola all the way around to Titusville and across Lake Okeechobee back to Pensaola. We stayed in different amounts of time.We lived on it for 8yrs. It was getting to hard for me, we had an opportunity to get a great deal on a great house. It was time. We are happy with the decision.

Happy to hear you were ready for the move and have found a great house. It sounds as though everything worked out perfectly-sale of the boat, new house, etc. Don't over do it with the unpacking, etc. A happy housewarming to you!
