It's like someone said, we can't pick our family. We are just kinda stuck with them. The good and the bad!
Here we have our own family! Our MS Family! And what a truly wonderful one it is! It's a family that understands what your going through! That gets it. That loves you anyway! When you're sad, when you hurt, when you're scared, when you're alone. And you think no one understands.
We lift each other up! We learn how to cope, and most important we ALL care about what happens to each other! We all have MS and that makes us Family!
Thank You For Being My Family! I know I couldn't have made it through this past year without you all! π€π

As to what I'm doing for Christmas, I'm tired just thinking about it. We have an evening with one of my husband's brothers on Christmas Eve, and another with another brother on Christmas Day in the evening. My son and his girlfriend are coming tonight for dinner (Note: I haven't cleaned in 3 weeks) and again on Christmas Day for noon, and the there's a get-together with my sister and her family near New Year's Day.
I hope everyone enjoys their Christmases and New Year's Day celebrations.
Great post Jesmcd2 i feel the same way. Also I love the way we can all laugh together and lighten the pain. As for what I am doing. 17 for full sit down dinner, including my 2 sisters, brother, wife, grandchildren, niece and nephew, plus their children. Harry has done the theme of reindeers this year, on Sunday. On Christmas Day my son and girlfriend are coming for dinner so itβs just a quiet one. I am then retiring from entertaining. Merry Christmas everyone, even if you donβt celebrate it, enjoy the peace and quiet. Blessings Jimeka π πΆ π« π¦
I'm sorry? 17? Did you lose your mind? Holy moly! Who is cooking this feast? And am I invited? π Please, only do what you can, and let the others do the rest! π€ππ jimeka
I would like to start by saying Merry Christmas and Happy new year, maybe a cure for ms. in 2020!This year is a challenge, my mother in law is in the hospital,so me with ms and my hubby with severe heart diseasse, having been running to hospital.her hubby and other son passed away last year so we are it!scary for her,she threw her back out and has a bad bladder infection (she is 82),she will go to rehab to learn how to walk again,so I will be cooking dinner and taking it to her.I bought alot of it pre-made of course.I need to remember the reason for the season
A lot of insurance companies - if u have been in the hospital, will send u meals. 10 days worth is what i got. U just gotta let them know.
Mine were awesome! U tell them ur likes etc and they make a dif dinner for each day plus milk and bread and orange juice and dessert. U may wanna check with her insurance agent. Make ur life a bit easier
Aww I hope your mom in law gets better very soon pamgarner and maybe tone down the Christmas dinner some? It won't be so much pressure? π€ππ I less dish won't hurt will it? ππ
Thank you, Jes, for saying so well, what I, and many of us, feel. I finally have a family who understand, and accept me anyway! Like Ken, I will be hanging out at home with my furkids for Christmas, and thanking God for another Christmas!
You said everything that I wish I had the words to say! Thank you. This IS the family that my thoughts first turn to when something positive, negative of just meh happens. I know this family will get it, and while my family that I live with and lives thinks they get it, I can tell they donβt. What a blessing from God this group has been.
this is wonderful and so true for all of us...thank you and may you have a wonderful Merry Christmas and even better New Year....loads of love and happiness ....
