Good luck with your move, hope things are better for you out in California, I hope that your ms settles down, at least you can still keep in touch with us all and let us know how you are getting on. Happy belated birthday wishes, Cheers Jimeka
Stay strong. Things will get better! Life is cyclical....sometimes we get so down there's nowhere else to go but up. Good luck, and don't let the MonSter hold you back. Use the occasion of your birthday to get to a better place!
I want to wish you the best of everything with your move !!! I can understand this totally for I am living in a place that is not good for me at all ...... looking forward to a move in July 2017...
Well I moved out here to Mojave Valley Arizona because of a friend I knew from my early 20s asked me to and promised me a lot of things which he didn't come through with and I lost everything because I moved out here because I had no family or any real friends in California. So my roommate a gay best friend and only friend moved out here to Arizona and we can't handle it because of the heat and the area just not good for us so we are moving back to California to start over and save money up and we want to move to Washington state that is our goal. My roommate has friends that can help us out so we are better off there. And I wish you the best to your move next year in July and thank you very much
Sleek78, i'm Fancy1959 and I would like to welcome you to this wonderful chat room, HealthUnlocked. I guess you have already noticed by the number of kind replies you have received so quickly, this chat is already well under way to become a tight knit, supportive family who understands where you are at and where you are coming from.
When you moved to AZ, did you close family members behind? Did you start a new job? I guess what I'm trying to ask is did your stress level go through the roof? For me, personally, stress has a huge negative impact on my MS.
Regardless of what California holds for you you need to know you have found safe spot to belong to. Bring us your questions or concerns, share with us your successes and your failures. We do our best to listen to any issues you might have and we have broad shoulders to cry on when needed. We invite you to become an MS Warrior with us. Remember that together we are stronger! Come with us and join the fight against this monster we call MS. Fight on MS Warrior, fight on! You are now part of our family!
Fancy1959. I grew up in California and lost my mom and dad and had nothing left there for me.
I thought I had a friend and he asked me and my roommate to move to AZ and we did with all he said and all the help he said he would help us with. The only help I got was doing work in 120 plus heat killing my self.
And now there is no work and we need food and he says he doesn't have it when he does.
He was to help get air in my truck working and fix my roommate car witch he never did look at it and I never hear from him. All he wanted me for is someone to hangout at the river with and drink. Well I don't drink and the heat is so hard on me. And he is keeping his boat and jet ski at my house after he said he would pay me to keep it here.
Everything was a lie so now we are going to head back to California. My roommate mate still has family there.
Any how we don't like it here.
I can't work I am on disabled.
The site is nice and everyone is very nice and thanks you for welcoming me.
Sleek78, it's Fancy1959 back. Boy, what a jerk the guy in Arizona was. Head back to California as quick as you can and get out of that Arizona heat before it fries your MS to pieces. The heat alone could exasperate your MS and it's symptoms right through the roof. Add to that the stress of not finding work, of not having basic necessities like food, and of not having been told the truth by what you assumed was a friend, and there is no wonder your MS flew through the roof.
So sleek78, take a deep breath and get back to California. Maybe you could contact the local MS Chapter and they might be of some assistance in getting you settled. If JOHNMSAA happens to read this post, perhaps you could get that number for sleet78. Remember together we are stronger. That's what makes me so pleased that you came to us with these Issues you are facing. We learn from mistakes as much as we learn from success. I hope if you are not already an MS Warrior, you will join this movement. Remember we never give up and we never give in. You need to think about that right now. Ask for more ideas if you need them. Fight MS Warrior, fight on!
Good idea Fancy! I'd forgotten that I received some monetary help from the local MS Society when I most needed it. That was a long time ago, but I believe they still help people if they can or refer them to organizations that CAN help. So, Sleek, why not give it a try?
