Welcome, kimsjourney ! I love your trike! A couple others here have trikes too. Have you named yours?
I can't handle the heat and humidity in the south, but it sounds like you are thrilled with your recent relocation. That's great!
We look forward to hearing more about how MS has affected you--when you were diagnosed, how you're doing, etc. But we also share more than that here. Welcome! 💕
Well, I wrote a welcome reply and it never posted. It's lost somewhere in cyberspace, I guess...
So, welcome, kimsjourney ! We're sorry MS brings you to our forum, but we're happy to meet you and look forward to getting to know you better. We share more than just MS here. We laugh together, encourage one another, and listen when you just need a friend.
Love your trike! Have you named it? Others here have trikes, too.
I can't handle the heat and humidity in the south, but it sounds like you can--and are very happy with your new home. ☺️
Welcome! 💕
Well, there they both are! If you need any tech support, I'm the one to ask! 😂🤣😂
WAshingtongirl Hope you meant that you are NOT the one to ask. Who is our tech guru, by the way?
The same person who is in charge of our spreadsheets!
Ha! 😂🤣😂 Yep, I'm afraid you know me too well, Iona60 . As far as tech-savvy, it at least more than I am. That would be Jesmcd2 . 😉
Gosh! I hate how my phone invents words for me...and how I submit my reply before doing a better proofing job! What I meant to say is:
As far as tech-savvy...or at least better than I am...that would be Jesmcd2 .
Hopefully that made sense! 🙄
Wait ✋ what? WAshingtongirl and Iona60 and greaterexp I'm not tech support😌 and as far as spread sheets go? Nice try Erin!😄
Although you can always give the job to kimsjourney 😊 Welcome! 💕 Welcome to Our MSAA Community 😊 Hate the reason your here. But hope you find this, your soft place to fall!💕
Jes 🌠
Welcome kimsjourney . I'm with you on living in the south. I grew up in NJ, but have lived in northern FL since I was 17. We also have a cabin in the NC mountains. People talk to you on elevators, wave when you go by, and chat with you while in line at the grocery.
Your trike is beautiful. I'm sure you will get to know many people in your area as you ride it around.
Hi Kimsjourney! Oh if only my knees would cooperate-maybe I wore them out when I was a kid cuz I rode my bike so often. And if you can do it in the south, power to ya woman! I have no doubts you Will!!! Welcome 👋🏼
kimsjourney , welcome! You must let us know how you like your trike over time. I think I'd like to try one, too!
kimsjourney welcome! I have the same trike 👍 Just too hot in my southern town to use right now (and too much hurricane debris to dodge)
I was born in Hollywood Florida and I have been up and down the Eastern seaboard, and I can tell you this honestly I love the South. There are still a lot of racism down south for sure but if you can understand it's everywhere then you could have a great life down south definitely a different breed and it's not all fried chicken and cousin loving! LOL
I have a red recumbent trike. I love it! It's stable so I don't fall off (like I did right before I was diagnosed. Broke my arm in 4 places! Gave my bike to my daughter...) We moved last year in January and I'm in a nice neighborhood where I can ride. I've met more people that way because many are not familiar with recumbent trikes. Good exercise (and strengthening) and meeting people! Also I can ride with my family again. The National MS Society paid for mine as I could not afford it.
Hi Kim - love the trike. In fact I have one also. It is a little different - it's red and is recumbent with a longer chain. I have a great place to ride where I live but the winters are harsh so I only get to use it about 4 months out of the year. It makes me feel good to be on it though. I can ride much, much farther on the trike than I can walk and it makes me feel more mobile. It feels great to have the wind in my hair again!
I was born in the South and lived here in Georgia all my life and god willing die here. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Welcome to the South and this wonderful site. Ms is our common bond so make your self right at home

Thanks everyone for that warm welcome! MS has made me greatful for things most people take for granted. I haved lived with MS since 1991. I have 3 adult children and 1 grand girl.
I am trying to stay positive while I look for resources. I filed for unemployment and disability but I am still waiting. I looking for a new neurologist also. I feel a little lost.
My new trike's name is BAE. He is silver sleek & stylish!
