I do not have any medical conditions related to MS, but I am a health care provider and I would like to participate in the multiple forums to gain a better understanding of the disease and the symptoms associated with it.

Thank you for your interest in us. Name a symptom. My guess is, one of us has it, whether we say so or not and whether anybody has ever even listed it as an "MSSymptom" or not. Pain, for instance....got it....and there were many years where folks didn't believe it had a thing to do with MS. Good luck in your search for knowledge and understanding. It's comforting knowing there are people who care.

Thanks for your interest and support. Being a caregiver is very hard. I care for my husband who is 11 years post-stroke with hemiparesis of the left upper extremity and is now riddled with arthritis and awaiting his first full knee replacement, and he cares for me with my MS. I know that I don't always understand what's going on with him and he doesn't always understand what's going on with me. This site is full of people with varying symptoms and everyone seems to be friendly and willing to offer their stories of living with MS. I can sum it up in 2 words: it sucks. But we keep on keeping on because that's all any of us can do.

You are so correct! My husband is 7 years younger than me! I always worried that as we grew older I wouldn't be able to keep up with him. Well MS took care of that worry. All in all some how we make it thru day by day together. Your are right, MS sucks!

You are welcome to follow me. #CalfeeChick.. I am new to MS. was just diagnosed a month ago. Waiting for treatment okays, appts etc. Was very active 68 yr old lady. Bicycling 150+ miles a week. Now I'm feeling good if I can walk 3/4 block to gym to walk a few laps and swim a few. I was Alzheimer's caregiver for my Mom and Mother in law. MS was the furthest disease from my mind. Lynn

I can not even imagine being given MS diagnoses at our age. Well, that was a kick in the gut. I sincerely hope all goes well for you. MS is so varied in every person with MS. But, yet similar. You will see. Blessings

Sorry I have been away for awhile. I am an Independent Duty Medical Technician. Similar to a Physician's Assistant. I treat active duty service members.
