Help please! Any ideas what this is?

Hi, I have been getting this skin issue on and off for around 6 years. It comes mostly on my legs but I do get it on my arms sometimes. No answers from GP when I've been with it. It does get itchy but the pain is the worst, feels very 'bruised' and throbs. Can stay for up to 8 weeks before fading and eventually clearing up. Normally gets to the size of a 2 pence piece but some have got slightly bigger. Any help is very much appreciated, thank you

Your GP should be referring you to a dermatologist really.

I’d see a Dermatologist to get a diagnosis and treatment for these lesions.
