Brown/black spots

Hi everyone out there, hope someone can help. I have all these unsightly brown/black all over my face and especially on my scalp. I've been to a dermatologist who removed some of them, but six months later they were back in all it's unsightly glory. Any advice?. It's not painful but might also be genetic meaning then doctors have no effictive treatment.

Might be worth returning to dermatologist and see if s/he will do a biopsy on one that has been removed to see if you can get to the root of the problem, as removing them is ok but not if they return with a vengance!
