hi leefaz I generally use 1% hydrocortisone (which can be bought over the counter in UK) very lightly once a day for weird small patches that appear on my face e.g just above between my eyes, just below one side of nose, no relation to anything else as far as I can see! This clears it up for a wee while then the same patches reappear. I also use a good quality hypoallergenic moisturiser morning and night, apply hc about half an hour after morning moisturiser. Hope this helps xx

Doublebase Gel. You can get it from chemists or on prescription. It will not cure this condition but should ease it until you appointment with the dermatologist

I use doublebase gel on repeat prescription from GP. Have 500g pump dispenser but also get 100g tubes as they are really useful for going on holiday /gym/swimming type activities

Hi leefaz,

I find the Cetaphil skin care range to be helpful in the treatment of eczema/dermatitis. Buy @ boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores...

Like lovesradio, I sometimes use 1% hydrocortisone cream (a mild steroid cream). Brands include Hc45 or standard/chemist own brand, e.g. Boots Derma Care Hydrocortisone 1% cream.

N.B. You do have to be careful about using steroid creams on the face over the longer term, as it can cause problems such as thinning skin and permanent redness.

Shell.
