I don't much about this yet but it's something I'm looking into. My options are pretty limited where I live. The only option I see so far is to procure the substance myself and seek guided sessions remotely. Interested to hear from anyone who has any experience with this or experience with using the substances personally with a view to recovery.
Thank you 🙂

there are quite a few threads on Reddit about people's experiences, but I think finding someone who has experience dosing and working with clients would be the best.
I am sure you have looked into it somewhat, but it seems that ketamine may rewire the brain.
If I remember correctly about psilocybin it can work for some and not for others. I think I read somewhere that it may have had the opposite effect on some but I cannot find the link now.
The thing is, OCD varies a lot and there may be a number of underlying causes so I would say look into it, learn all the possible outcomes and any possible side effects and then make a decision from that. And work with a professional with experience on dosing and things to look out for.
Good luck and I would love to know how it works out for you.
I know Ketamine is the drug prescribed to very young children showing signs of ADHD. It is believed that rewire the brain and some children recover from ADHD and no longer need medication.
If it helps with rewiring, it might be very promising treatment for OCD, too
Ketamine can also be used for depression. It has some side effects, some not too good. When used for depression, it only lasts a little while before you have to get another infusion. It is expensive, too. It works well for some people, but not for others.
don’t waste your money. I did it for 3 months and during treatment it puts you in a calm euphoric and sometimes hallucinogenic state but as soon as you 45 minutes is over and they unhook you you feel dizzy and unsteady and someone drives you home and you may take a little nap and then that’s the extent. They say it only helps with depression but it never helped my anxiety or ocd and really don’t think it helped the depression. I see it as a very expensive way to get high and escape your fears for 45 minutes with absolutely no short or long lasting benefits.
